Wabash Classical Co-op

Fridays | 9:30Am - 2:30pm | September - May

Wabash Classical Co-op desires to develop and strengthen a sense of community for local homeschool families while following the classical model for educating children. We use the trivium to elevate and challenge the students as they mature and a four-year cycle to cover all of History, Science, and the Bible. Every family is given a weekly packet to follow through on reading assignments and memory work in order to come prepared on Friday to engage in hands-on learning in a classroom setting. Weekly classes include family Bible, a Memory Period, Literature classes for the older students (4th grade and up), Science, and History. Each family commits to work together in a spirit of teamwork to teach the weekly classes for the year. The co-op commits to serve and support the families with prepared materials, resources, prayer, and community to keep the teaching burden light. We meet on Fridays from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., and the year spans from September to May, totaling 29 days of co-op. We have an extended 7-week winter break during the busy holiday season. All children in the family are included, from birth to age 18.

This is our vision: We are a Christ-centered community called to support local homeschooling families in training their children in the classical education method. Members strive to cultivate wisdom and virtue through studying what can be known about God and His creation throughout history. Our aim is to champion families, and to challenge young men and women to graduate with a thirst for what is true, good and beautiful. Together, we will release a generation ready to live under the authority of God as fully equipped kingdom builders excited to glorify God and enjoy Him forever.
